.466 -- Lyle Mouton's major league-leading batting average last spring. He ended up batting .278 in 97 regular season at-bats.
2 -- Hits in 33 career spring training at-bats (.061) by erstwhile country music star Garth Brooks, who camped with the Mets in '99 and Padres in 2000.

$490 million -- Estimated economic impact of the 20 Grapefruit League teams on the state of Florida, according to a statewide study by Van Horn & Associates in 2000.
